Tanzanian bongo legend, Mbosso, has revealed he has been suffering from a long-term heart problem that has required him to visit hospital frequently.
The award-winning performer explained his symptoms, claiming that his cardiac ailment was caused by fat blocking arteries. He’s had the illness for a long time, and he sometimes wakes up with chest aches and paralysis in his hands.
“At times when I sleep at night the left part of my chest hurts. It’s a condition that I have had for a long time,” he said.
“It gets to a point that my hands just start shaking by themselves. I cannot hold something for a long time with my hands,” Mbosso stated.
In an interview with a Tanzanian radio station, the Wasafi Records signee said that just a few individuals, that is, his boss Diamond Platnumz and his mother Sanura Sandra nicknamed Mama Dangote, were aware of his heart issue before his public disclosure.
The nature of the Bongo singer’s heart ailment remained unknown. However, he did explain his symptoms, suggesting that fat-blocking arteries were to blame for his heart problem.
He declared, “Maradhi yangu yanatokana na mishipa yangu kuzibwa na mafuta.”
Atherosclerosis, often known as ‘hardening of the arteries,’ is a cardiac ailment that can cause the symptoms he mentioned.
When fat (cholesterol) and other chemicals build up in the walls of arteries, it is known as atherosclerosis. These deposits known as plaques can constrict or totally block arteries over time, causing difficulties all across the body.
Doctors advised Mbosso that if he does not fully repair his heart disease, he may not be able to have children after the age of 30.
The Tanzanian singer, who has won several awards, is planning to fly overseas for medical treatment.
