From May 2021 to May 2022, James ranked second in total revenue on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid world athletes, with $121.2 million, trailing only Argentine playmaker and Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi’s $130 million.

Despite the fact that the Lakers finished with a 33-49 record and James missed the playoffs for the fourth time in his career, he became the oldest player to average 30 points per game hitting 30.3 per contest.

James has earned more than $385 million in compensation as a player for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers during the course of his 19-year NBA career.

Away from the court, James starred in the film “Space Jam: A New Legacy” and sold a minority investment in his production firm, Spring Hill.

Cash and investments account for more than $500 million of his net worth.

James has a stake in Fenway Sports Group, which owns Liverpool in the English Premier League, the Boston Red Sox in Major League Baseball, and the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.

His interest in Blaze Pizza is worth $30 million, while his real estate holdings are worth $80 million, including a mansion in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, and two residences in Los Angeles.
