Polycarp Igathe, Nairobi Azimio gubernatorial Candidate
becomes an innovative man in the political world.
His toilet cleaning agenda impresses most of his Nairobi
allies together with his Azimio supporters.
Igathe becomes a holistic man recounting back Jesus’
performance of washing his disciples’ feet.
The flamboyant businessman and corporate Executive
intensified his street campaigns by cleaning public washrooms as one of his
campaign schemes.
While cleaning the Nairobi public toilets, Mr Igathe
realized that the city lacks enough toilets to satisfy the more than four
million inhabitants living and working in Nairobi. He, therefore, promised to
solve the issue after the August 9 poll if, by chance, he manages to
perambulate the next Nairobi County government.
On Tuesday, Igathe spearheaded the cleaning of public
washrooms at Nairobi CBD while cultivating his campaigns.
“Cleanliness and management of public toilets are
one of the biggest jobs in Nairobi City County. They must be managed the right
way and be made available for all residents,” he said.
The Azimio Candidate prioritized the hygiene agenda as
the key point for the Nairobi people. He promised to transform the washroom
condition into a better reform once elected as the County boss.
He acknowledged the City Council workers who normally
attend to the public washrooms for cleaning.
“For a long time, it has been considered dirty work.
This is responsible work and young people must take up the task of managing
these toilets the right way,” he added.
Mr Igathe said his self-benevolence was an exhibition
plan for his constitutes to believe that he has the potential for delivery.
He added that his government will reach into
consolidation with all bar and hotel operators by supporting them with the
necessary hygiene observing kits.
” Hotel, Bar, Restaurant, and Café owners, rest
assured that the Igathe-Kaloki County Government will look into consolidating
all business operating licenses and will support the industry as we give
dignity and hope to the thousands who work here,” he said earlier during a
campaign meeting.
Igathe said as a devoted leader who volunteered to serve
his people, must be courteous and preserve his dignity in society.
Initially, Igathe was spotted washing cars, cooking, and
selling foods along the Nairobi streets.
“People should get used to seeing me because that is
how things will be even when I become governor. I will be serving you your
menu, not the menu of the chef,” he said at a certain event.
The Azimio gubernatorial candidate’s pitching style
raises an alarm to his opponents who feels his
tactic is stage-managed.
