Pastor Victor Kanyari of Salvation Healing Ministries has reacted to Betty Bayo’s claim of never being officially married to him. Speaking in an interview, the televangelist explained why he will forever be a part of Betty’s life.
Betty claimed that she was never in an official marriage with the controversial man of God. Clarifying her marital status on ‘Oh Sister’, a reality show, the gospel songstress insisted she is married to Hiram Gitau and has never been married before.
Betty also refuted claims of being a divorcee and of being married twice before. She clarified her marital status by stating that she is in her first marriage with her current husband, “Tash.” According to the reality tv cast, she discarded what was no longer useful for her.
I am married, I have a handsome man, but the only thing you can relate to me is the ex. I believe even in your house, what you don’t use, you put in the trash. The only people who go back to the trash are mad people.

However, Kanyari came out guns blazing and firmly confirmed being in a very formal and official marriage with Betty Bayo. The televangelist opened up on how he completed all rites of marriage by visiting Bayo’s parents and paying her bride price. He also added that he could never have children out of wedlock.
I had visited her parents, paid dowry, and fulfilled all the requirements to make her my wife. I would never have children with someone I am not married to. To me, that is what being officially married means.

Kanyari and Bayo have two children together, a boy and a girl. The man of God showed his financial commitment to his kids by stating how he still provides for them.
They spend almost Sh700,000 per term. I am the one who takes care of their needs, apart from food and accommodation.

Kanyari emphasized on his importance and position in Bayo’s life, insisting that he would expect a refund of his dowry in the event of separation. The couple took a hiatus in 2015 and the two have never been seen together since then.
Kanyari will forever be in her life as the man who came first. She will never run away from the fact that I was there before anyone else.

Consequently, netizens are baffled by Kanyari’s statement. A few years ago Betty Bayo came clean about bleaching her skin to please her lover. In the words of Betty, she did so to please her first love, a man she thought would marry her.
