Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount and goalkeeper Nick Pope have withdrawn from the England squad for this month’s Euro 2024 qualifiers.
The Manchester United forward picked up a knock during the FA Cup quarter-final win against Fulham on Sunday.
Two goals in three minutes saw Manchester United turn the tide in their favor against Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-final fixture played at Old Trafford.
Fulham manager Marco Silva, Alexander Mitrovic, and Willian were all sent off in 37 seconds of pure madness fuelled by the referee’s decision. The manager has however noted his team’s performance ahead of the turnaround.

Pope suffered an injury in Newcastle’s 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest on Friday, with Eddie Howe’s side picking three points thanks to all important goals from Isak, who moved to Newcastle from Spanish side Real Sociedad.

Mount whose contract is in limbo is also recovering from an injury and will stay with Chelsea despite the 2-2 draw against Everton at the weekend.
England manager Gareth Southgate had included Mount in the squad up until when Chelsea boss Graham Potter said afterwards that the 24-year-old would not be joining up with the international team.
Mount has been out of the Chelsea squad since and has not featured for the since February because of a pubic bone injury having also missed Saturday’s Premier League 2-2 draw against Everton.

Manchester United forward Rashford has been in fine form for this season, netting 27 goals, 19 goals under his name since returning from the Qatar World Cup, where he found the net three times in five games for England.
Nick Pope was replaced by Tottenham shot stopper Fraser Forster, aged 35, however, Pope’s stats are outstanding as he has 58 Clean sheets, 188 Goals Conceded, 5 Errors leading to goal with no own goal in all competitions.
Forster won the last of his six England caps in 2016 though he was included in the squad for two friendly games last season.
“No further replacements are planned and 23 players arrived at St. George’s Park on Monday,” said an England statement.
In Qatar 2022, the Three Lions’ World Cup journey ended in the quarterfinal stage hence the manager, Gareth Southgate’s future was under scrutiny.

England plays Italy on Thursday as they start qualification for Euro 2024, a tournament that will run from June 14 to July 14, 2024, and be held in Germany.
Southgate’s side travel to Italy on 23 March before hosting Ukraine at Wembley on 26 March.

Goalkeepers
Jordan Pickford is the No.1 choice and Aaron Ramsdale, Pickford was less involved at the world cup. However, the Everton shot-stopper is crucial for Southgate.
Ramsdale is enjoying impressive domestic seasons with Arsenal and will be ready to put pressure on Pickford’s position.
Defenders
Right-backs Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier are all expected to be called up alongside White and Reece James.

Luke Shaw and Ben Chilwell are the natural picks on the left with John Stones’ return from injury a timely boost for Southgate with no Maguire following a lack of playing time at the club.
Midfielders
Jude Bellingham alongside Declan Rice is one of Southgate’s best duos at the midfield since the World Cup.
Forwards
Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka are all automatic picks for Southgate after an impressive performance in the world cup. However, Raheem Sterling has been left out for the qualifiers.
England and City duo Jack Grealish and Phil Foden have their spots as Ivan Toney joins the squad for qualifiers.
