Khabane ‘Khaby’ Lame, the most successful TikTok creator and a Senegalese-born Italian, makes insane sums of money from his well-liked video clips.
His viral videos, which are best recognized for his wordless humour, have won millions of fans and led to significant collaborations with businesses and Internet titans like Snoop Dogg.
According to Fortune, a global American business publication, Lame is expected to earn $10 million by the end of 2022. The 22-year-old makes up to $750,000 for each video clip he shares on his social media channels.
Lame makes money from brand deals in addition to his TikTok work, earning about $400,000 per clip for the collaborations.
In collaboration with Hugo Boss, the social media influencer made $450,000 by participating in their Milan Fashion Week show and broadcasting it online.
The magazine also disclosed that Lame had extended a $750,000 contract for a single clip with a well-known Hollywood studio.
In 2001, Khaby moved from his native Senegal to Europe’s Italy with his parents and three siblings. In August 2022, he formally became an Italian citizen.
He declares that he is pleased to have settled in the country and that, as a result of the oath he took to become a citizen, he bears considerable responsibility.
“I am very proud,” he said after the citizenship ceremony. “I felt Italian even before today because I’ve always lived here. I feel a great sense of responsibility for the oath I took. These are not just words,” Khaby says.
